An iPhone application in development can run only on devices with provisioning profiles generated by the application developer. To allow us to include users that are not part of the development team into the testing/feedback process, we issue them test provisioning profiles (also known as ad-hoc provisioning profiles), which allow them to install on their devices applications that have not been published to the App Store. In order to generate these provisioning profiles we need to obtain your UDID or Unique Device Identifier. Once we have obtained this from you – we can generate an Ad-Hoc Build that we can send you and allow you to test the app remotely. Apart from giving us feedback about usability and unexpected behavior, if the app crashes during testing, you can collect and send us the crash reports that will allow us to quickly diagnose the problems.
